Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs

The Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs is a 20-month professional program that fills an education gap by preparing global policy leaders to effectively influence public policy. Students will gain multi-and trans-disciplinary analytical and creative design skills, strengths in development, sustainability, and global governance, and an informed perspective on pressing global challenges, including a lens on cross-Pacific dynamics. The program is jointly delivered by three interdisciplinary institutes: Institute of Asian Research, Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, and Liu Institute for Global Issues.

The promise to students: innovation, a broad policy foundation, and policy entrepreneurship with academics and policy practitioners globally recognized for their influence and impact. With strong experiential learning, graduates will have the capacity to integrate complex data and scientific knowledge with a solutions‐oriented approach, influence multidisciplinary teams, and leverage transnational networks. The program is well-suited to individuals looking to begin or enhance their careers as policy professionals in global policy-making environments.
